Bhakta

It is a Introductory training.

Duration

A three month residential course set in the beautiful and peaceful countryside settings of Bhaktivedanta Manor. The introductory course is designed for those wishing to gain a basic understanding of bhakti-yoga whilst living in a temple environment.

Curriculum

In the course of three months, you will study three modules:

  8. The Creation / Universal Time
  9. Perceiving Krishna in His Creation
  10. The Three Modes of Material Nature / the Law of Karma / Re-incarnation

  • You will get to experience the spiritually vibrant atmosphere of the temple morning programs, study Srila Prabhupada’s books, attend different lectures and classes, learn to play musical instruments, try your hands at farming and prasadam distribution.
  • The goal is “Simple living – High thinking”
  • Upon successful completion of the BHAKTA COURSE, students will be awarded Introductory Course certificates and will be eligible for the SABBATICAL and BRAHMACARI courses.
  • Classes and workshops will be held 4 days a week with accompanying general temple services i.e. cleaning, support in the kitchen and assisting a number of festivals.

Fees

  • A nominal charge of £150 will be asked for the course to cover basic costs of study materials, clothing etc. Concessions or sponsorships can be available for those with limited resources.
