How to get permissions?

First thing is to get list of companies from:

• Local Industrial Association
• Stock Market Database
• Through personal contacts

Second step is to get in touch with management of the company. This can be through:

• Approach renowned people and get a letter of recommendation from them. This can be reproduced to get permissions in the respective companies.
• One can also write a letter directly to the company officials.
• While doing distribution in one company they can request the management to give reference for other companies also.

Third step is to meet the management officials in person

• Wherever possible personal meeting is more effective than a telephonic conversation.
• Speak about how these books can benefit the employees and organization as a whole.
• Try getting in touch with the decision making authority in the organization, that would help expedite the process.
• Always carry Srila Prabhupada’s books, visiting cards, temple address etc while meeting the officials.

What is credit balance system?

In the credit balance system the employees need not pay on the spot. Devotees can take down their names, employee ids and the amount and submit this to the Payroll department. The company than deducts this amount from their salary and can send it to the temple in a month or so. Please make sure to check their ID cards to ensure that only employees are taking the books.

Parking lots and Canteens are the best places since people normally come here and are in a relaxed mood.

Lunch time and shift changing time.

Books

Try to give out sets instead of individual books. We can make a set of 10 books (combination of big and small) and give them to the people in their respective languages.

Things to take care for approaching companies

While meeting the top officials try not to over preach. Especially if they are of different faith or are following some organization be polite and focus on getting the permission.

Do some research on the linguistic proportion of the employees.
